That is how it feels when you walk into Café La Fortuna, except you’ll have to imagine the hug shimmering in the air between us, as we are committed to keeping you safe.

Owner Angela Lavelli, alongside her daughter Alejandra Franco, considers the café an extension of their kitchen—a cozy space where guests are welcomed like family. Since 2012, their daily-roasted small batch coffee beans have been transformed into indulgent favorites, from velvety Café con Leche to rich, spiced Mayan Coffee. Over the years, Café La Fortuna has earned its place as a cherished gem in the heart of downtown Hinsdale.

Angela has always been focused on the community she is so gratefully a part of. She shows her support for her customers by making sure she sources only the best ingredients for her drinks, paninis, and the specialty items in her pastry case.
